Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is expanding into McAllen with a new location opening later this month inside the Cambria Hotel at 701 S. Ware Road.
But unlike a traditional restaurant, the new Dickey’s will operate through a digital-only model, allowing customers to order barbecue for pickup, delivery or catering rather than dining at a standalone restaurant.
The location will be operated by O’Reilly Hospitality Management LLC, the franchisee bringing the Dallas-based barbecue chain to McAllen.
“We’re excited to share Dickey’s with the Rio Grande Valley and serve the McAllen community,” Tim O’Reilly of O’Reilly Hospitality Management said in a news release Wednesday. “Dickey’s has always been about bringing people together over great barbecue, and this location allows us to do that in a way that’s fast, convenient and perfect for feeding families, businesses and events of all sizes.”
